EVERY MORNING, TAKE YOUR BEST SHOT!
Last week I had a great opportunity to host an incredible workshop. There were questions on many topics, but two were of special interest: metabolism and gut health. I shared useful information to help people understand how to boost their metabolism, and what a big role your gut plays in your body’s ability to absorb nutrients and efficiently burn energy.
I HAVE A GUT-FEELING ABOUT THIS
Clearly, these were areas of deep concern to the people at the workshop, and possibly for you, too. So, I’m going to share most of what we talked about. They wanted answers to these questions:

Yes, there is a top-secret weapon that I’m going to share with you. It is the key to answering all the questions above. Anyone can do it. And, it’s quick, cheap and easy.
Best of all, it has worked for my clients who have suffered with that uncomfortable bloated feeling. (By the way, bloating affects both men and women.)
JUST THREE THINGS
Without further delay, here’s the secret weapon. It is a simple recipe with only three ingredients. But when they’re combined, they are powerful.
~ Warm water
~ A fresh lemon
~ Apple cider vinegar
WAIT, THAT’S ALL?
Yup, I told you it was quick, cheap and easy. I take what I call my “morning cleanse shot” every day and I have missed only a few times.
It’s that important to my health and well-being, and it only takes about 30 seconds.
I like to take mine in shot cups, they’re just the right size. And no, I don’t use those shot cups to drink alcohol! My last alcoholic beverage was on New Year’s Eve, and even then, it was only a couple of drinks. But if you come to my house, you might see a good supply of shot cups and you’ll know why!
THE RECIPE FOR THE SECRET WEAPON
Start with 2-3 tablespoons of warm or hot water (not boiling!)
Add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
Add 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice
Drink it down!
WHAT MAKES THIS SO POWERFUL?
Lemon water is great for helping maintain your body’s pH balance, and that is good for your gut health. On top of that, lemons are rich in Vitamin C, as well as in calcium, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, etc.
Next, apple cider vinegar is just plain amazing. It can:
~ lower blood sugar
~ help balance your pH
~ increase your healthy (“good”) cholesterol
~ help keep your gut healthy
~ improve your body’s ability to absorb calcium, which, in turn, helps improve bone density (as you age, it can help prevent your bones becoming brittle)
~ reduce food cravings
~ improve your immune system (as you improve your gut health, you improve your immune system)
~ have anti-aging effects because it’s chock-full of antioxidants
HOW DOES THIS SECRET WEAPON WORK?
The morning cleanse shot is going to help detoxify your body, especially your liver, and help improve your lymphatic system.
Think of your lymphatic system is your body’s garbage disposal. It is one of the ways your body gets rid of junk. It also is the mechanism that flushes fat. So, if you have an improved lymphatic system, guess what happens? You reduce the amount of fat your body stores. Hence, flatter belly and reduced bloating.
DOES IT TASTE YUMMY?
No, it doesn’t. I’m not going to promise you this will taste good! Although, I’ve been drinking my morning cleanse shot for so long, I’m used to it. Now I even find that it tastes pretty good.
But you’re going to do it for the first time and you’re going to feel… ok, you might want to throw up. But it’s well worth getting used to it, because the benefits are awesome.

I do it every day, and if you can do it every day, great! But sometimes I recommend to my clients that they take it on days when they know they’re not going to eat the healthiest meals. It will help improve their body’s ability to absorb nutrients and get the most out of what they eat.
The most important thing is consistency… I promise you’ll get used to it!
